Available Tools

The following read-only tools are currently available through the MCP server:

hotel-search - returns a list of relevant hotels based on destination, travel dates and other search criteria provided by the user
hotel-details - returns details about a specific hotel

Claude Setup

For Organization Owners (Team and Enterprise)

Navigate to Admin settings > Connectors
Select “Browse connectors”
Search and select “DirectBooker”
Select “Add to your team”
Review and accept the requested permissions

For Individual Claude Users

Navigate to Settings > Connectors or the Claude MCP Directory
Select “Browse connectors”
Search and select “DirectBooker”
Click "Connect" on the DirectBooker MCP Server
Review and accept the requested permissions

Note: No OAuth authentication is required. DirectBooker provides hotel search capabilities without requiring you to create a DirectBooker account.

Once you complete the steps above, you are ready to search. You can explicitly invoke DirectBooker's hotel prices by typing @directbooker before your prompt.

Common Use Cases

Example 1: Planning a Weekend Trip

User prompt: "I'm looking for a hotel in Austin this weekend. Something walkable to downtown restaurants and live music, under $250/night."

What happens:

DirectBooker searches Austin hotels for the upcoming weekend (auto-detects Friday-Sunday)
Prioritizes properties within walking distance of downtown entertainment districts
Filters for hotels under $250/night with direct booking pricing
Notes price savings vs. booking on third party platforms
Includes amenities like free WiFi, parking, breakfast that impact total value

Example 2: Business Trip with Loyalty Status

DirectBooker searches SFO area hotels for specified dates

What happens:

DirectBooker searches hotels near Austin Convention Center for March 15-18
